What Happens During a Bike Fit?
Book your fit: Choose Bike Fit or Complete Fit-Out and pick a time that suits you. The Bike Fitters come to your home or workplace.Assessment and precision measurement: A full biomechanical assessment, then saddle, shoes and position measured using idMatch laser-guided tools, smart caliper and G-meter.
Adjustment and final setup: Your fitter makes precise adjustments to the saddle, cleats, reach and cockpit, then records your measurements. Complete Fit-Out includes a second visit once your new bike is delivered.

Please note: the Complete Fit-Out assumes your bike is already unboxed and assembled before your fitter arrives. If you’d like your fitter to unbox the bike and carry out the initial setup for you, this can be added as an optional unboxing and setup service for £50 when booking.

Your bike fit starts with an initial consultation and pre-fit questionnaire, followed by a full biomechanical assessment to test flexibility and mobility. Sit bone measurement and saddle fitting are performed using the idMatch Smart Caliper, assessing intertrochanteric distance, thigh diameter, and pelvic rotation. Cleat alignment is completed with the idMatch Cleat Fit System, including full setup for your first pair of shoes (additional pairs charged separately). Each foot is measured for length, metatarsal length, width, and forefoot offset using laser-guided idMatch tools, with a jig and stencil ensuring precise cleat alignment. Your current riding position is reviewed on a static trainer before measuring your on-bike position with a goniometer, stem sizer, and idMatch positioning tool. Final adjustments refine saddle height and fore-aft, leg and knee alignment, and stem position for a perfectly optimised fit.

Getting a bike fit can significantly improve your riding experience. It helps reduce discomfort, prevent injuries, and increase efficiency and power output. Whether you’re a casual rider or a competitive cyclist, a proper bike fit is essential for enjoying your rides to the fullest.
A typical bike fit takes approximately 2 hours, depending on your specific needs and the adjustments required. Our goal is to ensure your bike fits you perfectly, so we take the time needed to get every detail right.
Your bike, cycling shoes, and your usual cycling clothing. It’s important to fit you in the gear you normally ride in to ensure the adjustments are tailored to your regular riding conditions. If you would like any additional bikes or shoes fitted at the same time, please have them available.
Ensure your bike is clean and in good working condition. If you have any specific concerns or areas of discomfort while riding, be ready to discuss them during your appointment as the bike fitter will ask you all of this.
You’ll need enough space to set your bike up on a turbo trainer and our bike fitter will also have an exercise mat for you to undergo your biomechanical assessments. This is a rough area of 2 to 3 meters squared.
If you could also make sure that any valuable or precious belongings are removed from the fitting space and please ensure that any pets (or small children) are also kept away from the fitting area.Absolutely! Our mobile bike fit service offers the same level of expertise and precision as a studio fit. The advantage is that we bring this service directly to you, providing convenience without compromising on quality.
